So much to learn; walk beside me, my friend!

Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.

~Albert Camus, French author, journalist, and philosopher

I have often felt better for the kind gesture of love and companionship that my friends have shared with me. I have often lived better knowing that those friends who have already graced the pages of my story are supporting me, holding me, and laughing with me. And still I wait in anticipation and enthusiasm because I understand better that there are still those friends I have yet to meet who will guide me on my journey. There is so much we can learn from one another. There is so much that connects us to one another. So much awaits us that will help us to shine brighter. We can know so much love by reaching out and grabbing hold of the extended hand when we recognize that our meeting is not a coincidence.

So let us stand close and pay attention, and we will not miss the present moment filled with wisdom. We will benefit from each moment that is bursting with potential. We can experience more joy, happiness, and—most of all—loving embraces, if we choose to let another in. When we allow the wonder of the relationship to overtake us, we look into the eyes of the other with gratitude, for they have walked beside us and called us friend.

Magical Key to Bliss: Make time today for your friends.
