April 14: God helps those who help themselves—Aiutati che Dio t’aiuta!

Be careful of the environment you choose for it will shape you; be careful of the friends you choose for you will become like them.

~W. Clement Stone, American author and philanthropist

Aiutati che Dio t’aiuta is an Italian proverb that means “God helps those who help themselves.” While it is a good reminder, sometimes it is hard to know exactly where that divine hand is, especially when you feel that no matter how hard you try, nothing helps. In the middle of the frustration, perhaps the key to experiencing an intervention when you need it most is to do something, anything you can, and then relax, knowing this loving presence will take care of you. You will see clearly the image of life’s puzzle only if you choose to sort through the pieces before you, looking for the best ones to fit your own vision. When you get perspective, you shift to a mind-set of empowerment even at your lowest point. You will gain clarity, tenacity, patience, guts, and divine assistance as you put one foot in front of the other and trust your instincts, choosing where to go next and who shall accompany you. Each new addition to the whole picture diverts your current course toward miracles and your own masterpiece. For there are miracles in doing what you can. Your good associations in this life will dictate all the good that you will attract, your relationships will feed your soul, and the places you go will shape your world accordingly! All will lead to a vision that unfolds wonderfully before your eyes!

Magical Key to Bliss: Observe the happy ones and where they go, and look to join their fun!
