Meg’s Mantra: Serve from a Place of LOVE!
For the past year, I have been doing my best to find somewhere for me to fit in. Having left one place, I continue to look for a home, so to speak, where I can continue to use my gifts and talents to serve. It is a funny thing for seekers, always looking for what you already have. Voila! With this realization, the story begins to change. You see, I have found at least three personal fundamentals that when truly understood, I empower to serve from a place of love: 1)we are all spiritual beings having a physical experience, 2)that we are all connected to each other, and 3)when each of us pays attention to what makes us come alive, love will abound.
SPIRITUAL BEINGS HAVING A PHYSICAL EXPERIENCE
To do what I came here to do, it has been an important part of my journey to understand what calls me. Like a well told mystery, the story unfolds. In the first chapter of adulthood, I wrote the foundation: go to law school, become a lawyer, serve as a government attorney, meet my life partner, have a family. As I accomplished all, I realized that this was only the beginning, for my spirit seeks for more learning. Choices have been made to continue carving out a path from where I am now, to where I go next.
And, at this crossroads, I meditated on my dreams then made the determination that I believed enough in them to take a leap of faith. I evolved as a writer publishing my first book. Left the security of a title, I followed my guide to write the next. In continuing with this path, the momentum and release of resistance will take me further, happier, and free. Therefore, this spiritual gut or attitude check becomes an opportunity for me to serve myself from a place of love as I embark on the next part of story.
WE ARE ALL CONNECTED
“Life is all about finding people who are your kind of crazy” because “normal” is so subjective. I am blessed as I keep reuniting with my tribe. When I set my intention to be open to all, I get the pleasure to meet many shiny, fabulous, magical people almost everyday! This is a great signal that the path I have chosen is a good one for me.
Over the past week, I have felt real pain and anxiety as those in my “LOVE” tribe face the devastation from fires out West. Empaths, people who feel the mental and emotional states of another, have it rough. Not only do they deal with their own angst, but if they don’t set limits, they will feel others’ angst as well. On the flip side, there are ways to serve from a place of love that can kick up the positive no matter where you are or what is happening. Waking up declaring that something wonderful is about to happen or even offering a word of appreciation to someone who means the world to you, powerful acts of loving kindness can serve because we are all global citizens. As Coldplay said, “We are all a part of a big beautiful band!”
WHAT MAKES US COME ALIVE
And this is my favorite part!!! I get to serve from a place of what makes me come alive and that most definitely begins with LOVE! In 2014, on the American Airline Arena stage in Miami in front of 15,000 people, I stood with my soul sister Mari Vina and Oprah Winfrey herself. The energy I felt was electric! I could only lift my eyes to the heavens in gratitude because I felt loved by Mari and alive with hope. I am a woman who faced her own obstacles governed by the words of my mother, “this all has a purpose and if you never give up, you will help many.” I have bet my life’s work on my calling to teach and inspire.
That O-Mazing moment catapulted me to move forward into the unknown. Wanting to continue that incredible energy, I collaborated with magical people and launched S.H.I.N.E. Miami. We have hosted three high energy, magical networking events in addition to providing educational scholarships to empower the young leaders in the community.
Additionally, I finished and self published my first book, The Magical Guide to Bliss that has opened doors in ways I could never have expected! Following Give Love Rocks, I magically connected with the founders of The Love Button Global Movement to continue to be in service to the world community from a place of love. I have had the pleasure of meeting many of those who have inspired me. Moreover, I took a spiritual pilgrimage on “El Camino” spreading love and proving to myself that there never is a good time to give up on life.

Because living and sharing the joys and vulnerability of my life with the intention to serve from a place of LOVE has made all the difference, I invite you all to join me and do the same. ICU Baby serves families who have very premature babies fighting for life and Miami Childrens Theater is where my own daughter’s talents have been nurtured.
