This turning toward what you deeply love saves you.” Rumi Ever have the experience where you are moving through the routine of your day with your checklist in hand, going through the motions and not really thinking about what you are doing then something happens that stops you in your tracks? Like a bolt of lightning, the event wakes up your zest and enthusiasm for life and you start to feel alive again. Your senses start to respond and there is a newfound energy born in that moment that allows you to believe that you can do things that you never thought were possible. There is an electricity in the air of potential. And, when you pay attention to this calling and connect with the feeling of love and joy, your life starts to feel effortless once again. Perhaps this event is the voice of your intuition that is begging to be heard. Perhaps it is an inspiring song that touches you to the core. Perhaps it is the chance encounter with a long lost friend or mentor. Perhaps it seeing for the first time a picture whose colors take your imagination on a journey of possibility. Perhaps it is a book that imparts wisdom that opens your eyes to hidden truths that ignite your passion. Or, perhaps it is a stranger reaching out to you and saying something to you that changes your life. Something touches your soul and ignoring the impact that this event has on your life is not even an option. And, when you follow your bliss, your passion, your calling, the weight of the world just falls away. In fact, when you do follow the signs, or as I like to say as you follow the butterflies, towards a deeper realization of your newfound spiritual opportunity, then you start to attract more and more. More opportunities to grow, more people who can act as guides, or more good feelings that infuse your growing spirit. As Oprah has said, “When you’re honoring your calling, there’s an undeniable sense of stimulation and exhilaration. It just feels so right.” When you honor this calling, then your consciousness becomes more in tune to your surroundings and going through the motions can be a thing of the past. Your life just feels so right. You have a greater sense of awareness and surrender as life unfolds in alignment with your highest good. Music does that for me every time. When a song that I hear, matches the song in my soul, I just want to start the dance in life where I can move freely, around and around and around. When I turn towards it, even if there are times when I lose my way, I am saved over and over again. So magical I think!
