Thought of the Day: Making ideas become reality!

“Reduce your plan to writing. The moment you complete this, you will have definitely given concrete form to the intangible desire.”

Napoleon Hill 1883-1970, Author of Think and Grow Rich

There are many times over the course of a day that we may be struck by an idea that could change the world.  If you study the greatest minds of our time, you will discover that their greatest ideas have come to them during the ordinary course of a day, during  what would appear to be insignificant occurrences.  Creativity surrounds us on a daily basis.  It comes to us through nature, through our interactions with others, and through studying those who have gone before us.  The challenge that we face on a daily basis is to find a way to allow our creative process to unfold.

We must set out a plan.  When we put pen to paper and capture that creative thought in the moment it was conceived, we no longer risk losing those ideas.  There are times in our lives where we may be frustrated by the lack of forward progress or meaningful creative realization.  A solution to these frustrating times may be as simple as setting your vision to paper.  When we set things out in front of us, the path to discovery becomes clear.  When we take the time and set out your heart’s greatest desires in a concrete way, the shift happens.  When put to paper, what was once a fleeting notion, has transformed into an outline setting out the necessary steps to get you to that destination.  Many creative individuals are served well when they carry around a small notebook or a notepad where they can capture their greatest aspirations.  Many well-known scientists or innovators leave a note pad or journal on their bedside table to capture their dreams.  Many of those dreams have led to discoveries in medicine and technological advancements that have in fact changed the world.  We are all creative beings. There are no insignificant ideas.  Our imaginations are where the greatest discoveries of the future begin.  We just need to honor our creativity and remember to capture our ideas so that we can step into a new reality where the intangible desire is no longer intangible.  So today, take a few moments and set out your greatest desires.  Carry around with you a notebook to capture the ideas that will give your heart flight.  Once you do this, you can begin to set out a plan to achieve what began in your dreams.  Once you realize that ideas can come to you at any time, you will no longer be surprised what appears when you are relaxed in the shower or during a meditation.  So capture it, make a plan, and step into the beautiful reality that will give your life fulfillment and joy. Then pay it forward, because when your dreams become a reality, you inspire others to do the same.
