One factor that is clearly determinative of a successful life is the development of good character. We can either buy into a world where advertisements or reality shows promote instant material success based upon a destructive competitive spirit and where promotion or advancement is achieved by stepping on others and feeling no remorse. Or, we can choose to be virtuous and honorable in our actions. Fortunately, this is our choice and it is important to remind ourselves as well as those we mentor or parent of this fact. I came upon a very interesting article that set forth some basic values, that if followed can catapult each of us to get closer and closer to that worthy goal. Hopefully, these values will be a good reinforcement of the behavior we already exhibit. By practicing good character, we attract the same behavior from others as we progress on our path. This one is dedicated to all of you who are the fine examples of one who exemplifies good character today- you are making a difference!
