It is time to get inspired and live the most creative life, as we gather to award VANESSA DE ACEVEDO FOR THE PERSISTERS as our 2017 S.H.I.N.E. Good Neighbor Award Recipient! Team S.H.I.N.E. is excited to introduce her and the great work that she is doing for this community and beyond!
Vanessa is truly amazing. A mother, wife, business woman who found the time to organize a group of people to become a grassroots force called the PerSISTERS. They have come together to collect donations for hurricane relief from Harvey until Maria. They have worked together to educate on the issues of the day and those leaders who represent us empowering all of us. And most importantly, they have provided an outlet for hope that positive change is more than a possibility. Thank you Vanessa for your vision, your innovation and your persistence. This award is well deserved!
S.H.I.N.E. is a non profit whose mission is to create an opportunity to network, reunite with friends and meet new people connecting in a positive way to collaborate and make a difference in our little corner of the world. Together collaborating our strengths and talents, we can all be of service to each other and start a ripple effect beyond our wildest imagination. In that vein, S.H.I.N.E. raises money to provide educational scholarships to young innovative leaders in our community who are making a difference at a young age. We also seek to recognize people in our community who are using their talents and creative ideas to help all of us shine!
