It is time to get inspired and live the most creative life, as we gather to award Miami Childrens Theater as our 2017 S.H.I.N.E. Ambassador Award Recipient! Team S.H.I.N.E. is excited to introduce the beautiful casts of Into the Woods and Addams Family as they will dazzle you with the incredible talented youth we have here in South Florida!
Founded in 1996, Miami Childrens Theater has evolved from an after-school program at the Coral Gables Youth Center to become one of the pre-eminent young persons’ theaters in the nation. With an emphasis on classical musical theater training and proper stage etiquette, Miami Childrens Theater has emerged as a fertile training ground for students of all nationalities and socio-economic backgrounds. From our inception, our mission has been to cultivate the arts from a wholly inclusive perspective. In 21 years, we have never denied a child access to one of our programs due for financial reasons. It is our proudest achievement. Miami Childrens Theater is a licensed, 501 (c) 3 not-for profit.

S.H.I.N.E. is a non profit whose mission is to create an opportunity to network, reunite with friends and meet new people connecting in a positive way to collaborate and make a difference in our little corner of the world. Together collaborating our strengths and talents, we can all be of service to each other and start a ripple effect beyond our wildest imagination. In that vein, S.H.I.N.E. raises money to provide educational scholarships to young innovative leaders in our community who are making a difference at a young age. Miami Childrens Theater builds confidence and provides opportunities to young people without regard to their socioeconomic background. We are proud to support their mission and recognize these young people along with this organization this year at S.H.I.N.E.
