Laughter really is the best medicine!

“The human race has only one real effective weapon and that is laughter.  The moment it arises, all your irritations and resentments slip away, and the sunny spirit takes their place.” Mark Twain Talk about finding the ultimate weapon to make the world a better place. Set out as an explosive sound that is a sign of amusement, the definition of laughter has us replacing images of other harmful explosions with those can contribute to robust living.  Anything that brings more life to your days, is something that I wholeheartedly recommend.  And, nothing feels better and nothing is more contagious than laughter.  Nothing builds a team better and nothing creates lasting connections than laughter.  Nothing breaks the ice where there is tension and nothing makes you feel lighter than laughter.   Laughing at yourself when you make ridiculous blunders or laughing with others to lighten up any otherwise overwhelming experience, the simple truth of it all is laughter helps us to approach life with a more beneficial attitude because life really is too important to be taken so seriously.  When given the choice to laugh or not to laugh, I don’t think anyone would choose to dwell on past resentments that deplete our life energy by choosing the latter.  To choose to surround yourself with opportunities to laugh more in life not only introduces the sunnier side of life back into your world but it could be one of the greatest gifts that you give to yourself and others.   And as Wilfred Petersen states so eloquently, “Laughter is the best medicine for a long and happy life. He who laughs—LASTS!”  Certainly laughter lends a hand to our best physical self by contributing in a positive way to our overall health and wellbeing.  Laughter can be the necessary ingredient that not only boosts the good feeling hormones in our body and soul, it also can fill us up with vitality and infuse our spirit with newfound energy and light.  We all know people who have an incredible sense of humor and I am certain we all love to be in their company as a result.  We don’t all have to be blessed with comedic talents to benefit from this “weapon”, we can just come to life with a shift in perspective that if we bring some humor to everything that we do in our lives, stress and irritations will soon just fall away. So take an instant vacation from your worries in life, and learn to laugh more.  HaHaHa! I love to laugh- have a Jandy day filled with love and lots of belly laughs that have you rolling on the floor begging for mercy!
