Inspire your own imagination! “You discover you have wings when you open a book.” Anonymous During a time of year when Santa Claus is coming to town, Rudolph’s red shiny nose saves the day, and Hobbits are heroes, if you need a kick start to your imagination pick up a good book. I find when my life is challenging and I am frustrated by the lack of movement forward, I can always pick up a book with an enticing title that helps me get out of my rut. A book can take you anywhere you allow your imagination to go. My favorite books open my eyes to new perspective, open my heart to the life story of another, and open my world to all new possibilities. That is the beauty of good story telling. It can be the gateway to a much needed shift in your own make believe. Whether it is a thriller, a romance novel or a self help novel, a book really can give you wings to travel with the most fascinating people, see amazing new places or be exposed to interesting things. When my life is hitting a wall or my monkey mind overwhelms with my own anxiety or perceived problems, I just go to the bookstore and walk through the aisles of magic and miracles and listen to my inner guide as to where I yearn to travel. There is no greater gift than the love of reading as it can inspire anyone’s imagination and just might be the key to discovering your innermost dreams! What a great gift to give this holiday season!
