“Most people are so busy knocking themselves out trying to do everything they think they should, they never get around to do what they want to do.”
Kathleen Winsor 1919-2003, Author
In your very busy and overly packed lives, take a moment and ask yourself if you are taking enough time to do the things that make you feel alive. Never let the unimportant things in life take precedence over the things that just seem important. In your desire to seem perfect for all who gaze upon you, you may be burning yourself out to opportunities that would give you great satisfaction and joy. You may take for granted that you have all the time in the world to accomplish these dreams of yours. But in retrospect, you may be putting off what you need to do that will set yourself in a direction that will best allow you to realize all that is possible for you. And for what, to make yourself crazy following the directions of what the media tells you is important. But why put off tomorrow what you can discover about yourself today. Even if you take baby steps towards your goals, it will make a huge difference in the long run. Stop knocking yourself out every day doing the things you believe you should do. Start thinking about what it is that you really want to do, what sets your heart on fire with passion, and what brings a sparkle to your spirit. Then take an inventory. Sit back and look at your to do list and make sure that you have included the creative tasks that you love, that you have set aside time to explore and discover and that you make your wishes a priority. I am not saying to disregard your responsibility, just reminding you to make the balance fall in favor of what you want to do. For if you don’t make time for your dreams then who will. Don’t wait for the nod from another to get around to what you want to do, just go out and do it and make you a priority. Those who surround you will benefit for sure. Just imagine another happy innovative person truly living an amazing life on this Earth doing their best to make their corner of the world more and more meaningful! That sounds great to me!
