Here is to the “good life”!

“Let’s choose today to quench our thirst for the ‘good life’ we think others lead by acknowledging the good that already exists in our lives. We can then offer the universe the gift of our grateful hearts.” Sarah Ban Breathnach Author of Simple Abundance

When we are grateful for what we have and the abundance that is already in our lives in all areas, the universe will respond in kind with more abundance effortlessly showing up that will give us more to be grateful for.  When we face the world noticing what we lack and always desiring what we do not have, the universe will respond in kind with more lack frustrating your greatest wish leaving it always out of your reach.  It is so simple.  Stop wanting what others have and start appreciating what is already present in your life.  Let’s face it there is so much we all experience that we can be thankful for.  Choose an attitude of gratitude every time and you will not go thirsty.  We have another day of life and we have our health, life is good.  We have family and friends who love us and challenge us, life is good.  We have access to knowledge, wisdom and the freedom to explore what our heart desires, life is good.  We have roofs over our heads and clothes on our back, life is good.  And more fundamental to our spiritual growth, we have the ability to take the present moment in and say thank you for all of our blessings, life is good.  When asked about me at the mother’s breakfast, my daughter responded “My mom is grateful.” And, no truer words can be said.  I am surrounded by love, I am surrounded with opportunity to grow in my life, and I am surrounded by angels, my friends and family, who make me smile every day.  And with this acknowledgment. I am offering the gift of my grateful heart to the universe and I encourage all of us to do so as well. Lift up your glasses filled to the brim with your appreciation, and make a toast for your life is full and there never was a void anyway- “Here is to the good life!”   Salute!
