Grateful for the connections!

Grateful for the Connections!

“Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to a new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.”
― Flavia Weedn

This is so true.  During the course of the day, we all come into contact with so many people.  Often I look around and it completely amazes me to think that I am one of so many individuals, so many nationalities, so many personalities, and so many life stories- I am only one.  The really incredible thing about life is the ongoing synchronicities that bring me the circumstances to be able to connect with some of these individuals, for then my one can be two, or three and so on.  Those people who were once regarded as complete strangers, after a “chance” encounter, now can become friends who bring a wealth of synergetic wisdom that affects their lives and the lives of others along the way.   As the saying goes, when these connections happen, some of these individuals can be introduced to our worlds for a reason, a season or a lifetime.  No telling which it will be at the outset, but regardless it doesn’t matter the length of time of our interaction, the special connection with those individuals can teach us to dance to the beat of life’s beautiful drum, can teach us to understand life through the wisdom of their different experiences, or can teach us to see the world in a new and wonderful light that allows us to identify the magic that is there.  So when I look out at my world on a daily basis I am enthusiastic and grateful for those connections, both old and new, both near and far, both long or short.  I am grateful for the people who come into my life and leave their mark on my heart and soul.  I am grateful for those synchronistic events that happen to allow for the opportunity to transform my life and introduce a stranger who now would be considered a friend.  So to all of you who have graced the doorstep of my proverbial house, you have left your footprint on my heart and I am forever changed and grateful that I will never be the same.  Then I stand in utter awe at how magical and beautiful life really is!
