I am grateful for all of my problems. After each one was overcome, I became stronger and more able to meet those that were still to come. I grew in all my difficulties.
~James Cash Penney, American entrepreneur and founder of the J.C. Penney Stores
It is in the discomfort of life that we truly get to know who we are and what we are made of. If we went through life never experiencing heartache or challenges, we would never know what we are capable of surviving. Facing challenges on a daily basis, knowing that we have overcome low points and learned incredible lessons from them, we are grateful for our problems. They not only give us great material for a good memoir but also create a great foundation for future challenges.
Bringing gratitude to the picture makes the process of healing a lot easier because we get to appreciate everything that has already happened in our lives. With this attitude, we also get to see ourselves transform from victim to spiritual warrior from one day to the next. It is a true test of the human spirit in which we can take the lesson of a difficult experience and rise from it. Instead of withering, we get to grow from the wound, move forward, and meet life with love and compassion. To all fellow warriors, thank you for a job well done! Through gratitude, we have transformed the journey into something more beautiful than if the hardship had never happened at all!
Magical Key to Bliss: Be grateful for the difficulties.
