Appreciate the diverse flowers in your “people bouquet.”

To know someone here or there with whom you can feel there is understanding in spite of distances or thoughts expressed. That can make life a garden.

~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, German writer and statesman

Our relationships are so important. They are our first glimpse of what it feels like to be fully connected and loved. Beginning with what we identified as our mother or father’s love, we felt a sense of peace and protection in our parents’ arms. Later, our siblings and friends had a profound impact on what it means to be a part of a tribe. Culminating in our relationship to a significant other, we learn how to communicate and live together as a family once again. So many people come into our lives, each person a beautiful flower to add to our bouquet. On the journey today, identify three of these people who have taught you how to exist in this world, staying true to your vocation. The focus will be on your intentional gratitude for each of those relationships. Decide why you are grateful for each person you chose, and either write it down in a journal or think about that individual throughout the day. This exercise can either make that connection stronger or heal it. Remember, we are not meant to travel this earth alone; we are meant to learn our life lessons with and through others who grow in our garden. Be grateful for those who understand us well because they will give our life more meaning and certainly color our surroundings!

Magical Key to Bliss: Choose three people, and decide why you are grateful for this people bouquet!
