The story of S.H.I.N.E Miami! Day 2: Four years ago, I was devastated by the loss of my mother to the beast called cancer. Grief crossed my door and for those who know it, it is also a beast! I was lost, desperate to understand my new reality and feeling surrounded by darkness. My story is not unique, others have gone through this journey as well. For me, it was the first time experiencing a loss so close to home. I should have known it would be gut wrenching. When I lost my beloved dog Alfredo, I was in recovery for at least 3 years afterwards.
So I had two young children and had to figure out a way to cope! I was advised by a magical friend of mine who also gave me her time freely (the angels just keep showing up- Donna Macdonald) to figure out a way to continue channeling the love from her just in a different way. My mother and I spoke every morning. There was not a day that went by that I did not get my dose of “Hello my Meggie!” followed by a lot of love and support and wisdom. So I was going to have to fill the void and it just was going to have to be a different way. Cutting off this kind of communication and light each morning is also a mourning process. So to reconnect, I started writing my thoughts of the day that have turned into The Magical Guide to Bliss. #TheGuide to #Magical #Bliss
As I was sending out these to my friends, perhaps to share some wisdom that I learned that would perhaps help others, I met a beautiful and colorful light named Amy Butler. Four years now, we have been friends. We have supported each other from afar- Amy lives in Ohio and I am here in Miami, F. I hope that I have helped her as much as she has been a shining light for me. I have watched her launch her amazing Blossom magazine and seen her grow her business Amy Butler Designs. So when this event came to mind, I had to ask her to be one of my speakers- to share her talents and wisdom with all of you! She shines brilliantly!!
You see, she colors the world with “amazing” and this is what needs to be shared with all of you. Each of us using our talents to make the world a brighter place! So now after four years, I get to share this beautiful person and spirit with you to inspire you to S.H.I.N.E.!
